The Problem
There is no such app to discover inclusive playgrounds. The only existing tools are websites with outdated information and poor usability.

NPR Playgrounds for Everyone
“Playgrounds for Everyone” is the most comprehensive app for showcasing inclusive playgrounds yet it is far from complete. As a community-edited guide, this app allows users to find and identify accessible playgrounds by filtering play opportunities. The main problem with the app is that the information is outdated because there are not enough users interacting with the app.
Accessibleplayground.net
This playground directory is not visually appealing nor does it contain enough information to understand each accessible park. This site relies on links to the park’s individual website for more information. The type hierarchy is not clear enough to understand easily and pick out major information such as the name of the park and location. There is also an inconsistent display of supporting information.
CINCINNATI PARENT
A guide to inclusive playgrounds around Cincinnati created by one parent. This guide is written in the form of a blog as it merely states different parks around Cincinnati that her kids enjoy. Not all parks she lists have images and most of the information links externally to the park’s website. She does well, however, in bolding key information and providing personal commentary.
The Solution
An app to discover inclusive playgrounds.
